This site is built to run with a minimal footprint. Below we explain which cookies and which local storage we use, for what purpose and for how long.

Strictly necessary storage

We use your browser's local storage for two purposes: “hbw-cart” stores the items in your cart, and “hbw-consent” stores your choice on this banner. Both remain solely on your device, transmit no personal data to us, and are required to operate the shop — no consent is needed for them.

Payment (Stripe)

During checkout, our payment service provider Stripe may set cookies that serve the secure processing of the payment and fraud prevention. These are necessary to carry out the payment.

Google Maps

On the location page, Google may set cookies when the map loads. The map loads only after your consent; without consent, no such cookies are set.

Analytics (Matomo, cookieless)

We measure how our shop is used with Matomo, an analytics tool we host ourselves on servers in the EU. It is configured to set no cookies at all, your IP address is anonymised before storage, and no data is shared with third parties. We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our shop (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); raw visit logs are deleted after 12 months. Your browser's "Do Not Track" setting is honoured — with it enabled, nothing is recorded. You can also object to this measurement at any time (Art. 21 GDPR) via the opt-out on our privacy page.

Managing your consent

Your choice made via the banner is stored locally. You can reset it by deleting this site's locally stored data in your browser settings; you will then be asked again on your next visit.
