Java Indonesia
Surrounded by volcanoes and lush forests, the Blawan coffee plantations provide the perfect environment for cultivating high-grown Arabica coffee. Covering approximately 3,000 hectares, this region is entirely dedicated to coffee production. The estates are state-owned and have a rich history dating back to the Dutch colonial era, when these and four other plantations were originally established for coffee cultivation. For generations, local families have farmed this land, demonstrating deep care and commitment to the plantations. Their knowledge has been carefully passed down, resulting in well-maintained, mulched soils and expertly pruned coffee trees. Cup Characteristics: Sweet, clean and complex, with notes of cinnamon, chocolate, sweet tobacco, grape and tangerine. Nice body, balanced, great aftertaste.
